Manuel Bernal is one of the soldiers commanded by Antonio Luna during the Philippine-American war.
Unfortunetly he got executed under the command from Gregorio del Pilar with his own soldiers.

Manuel Bernal, along with Jose Bernal, are some of the Aide-de-Camps of Heneral Luna. Manuel Bernal was helping Heneral Luna as he was planning to build a huge trench and fortifications along Bagbag.
Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral[]
Gregorio del Pilar and his troops were trying to find Manuel Bernal, in hopes of "trying to get him to have a meeting with Emilio Aguinaldo". Of course, there was no proof that the President just wanted to meet him. He was soon arrested at the house of Don Mariano Nable Jose a few days after. He was executed on June 16, 1899.

Manuel Bernal, Joven Hernando, and Jose Bernal were running from Gregorio del Pilar's troops soon after the execution of Antonio Luna. They hid in a cave, where Angelito met them again.
